An excerpt from Humanure Handbook by Joseph Jenkins

DEEP SHIT

Shortly after I published the first edition of this book, I was invited to speak to a group of nuns at a convent. I had only printed 600 copies of the book and had assumed they would sit in my garage for the rest of my life because no one would be interested in the topic of composting “humanure.” Not long after, the Associated Press put the word out that I had written a book about crap. Then I got a phone call.
“Mr. Jenkins, we recently bought a copy of your book, Humanure, and we would like to have you speak at our convent.”
“What do you want me to talk about?”
“About the topic of your book.”
“Composting?”
“Yes, but specifically, humanure composting.” At this point I was at a loss for words. I couldn’t understand exactly why a group of nuns would be interested in composting human crap. Somehow, I couldn’t imagine standing in a room full of holy nuns, speaking about turds. But I kept the stammering to a minimum and accepted the invitation.
It was Earth Day, 1995. The presentation went well. After I spoke, the group showed slides of their gardens and compost piles, then we toured their compost area and poked around in the worm boxes. A delightful lunch followed, during which I asked them why they were interested in humanure, of all things.
“We are the Sisters of Humility,” they responded. “The words ‘humble’ and ‘humus’ come from the same semantic root, which means ‘earth.’ We also think these words are related to the word ‘human.’ Therefore, as part of our vow of humility, we work with the earth. We make compost, as you’ve seen. And now we want to learn how to make compost from our toilet material. We’re thinking about buying a commercial composting toilet, but we want to learn more about the overall concepts first.
That’s why we asked you to come here.” This was deep shit. Profound.
A light bulb went off in my head. Of course, composting is an act of humility. The people who care enough about the earth to recycle their personal by-products do so as an exercise in humility, not because they’re going to get rich and famous for it. That makes them better people. Some people go to church on Sunday, others make compost. Still others do both. Others go to church on Sunday, then throw all their garbage out into the environment. The exercising of the human spirit can take many forms, and the simple act of cleaning up after oneself is one of them. The careless dumping of waste out into the world is a self-centered act of arrogance — or ignorance.

Unarmed protests are a stupid idea

A friend in Taiwan just informed me of some issues going on with the university student body there and linked me to some English articles.

How often do we see the images of protestors being ravaged by the dogs of the elite/government?  Are the protestors asking for change or merely asking for a beating?  Why do governments push to disarm their populace?  Why are protestors met with police well-armed beyond what civilians have easy access to?

Why do populations support the very ones who dominate them through voting, taxes and obedience?

Do we really need governments and money?  Does a family in a forest resort to these devices?

The simple truth is there is no difference despite scale.  We have a planet of abundant resources.  It is knowledge that has to be withheld, obscured, classified and occulted for the control of the masses.  And those who are aware so often do not act to change matters.

Cowards and sociopaths permit the world to be run by psychopaths.

Time to pay the ferryman.

John Stossel writes in protest over IRS code as a means of manipulating taxpayers' values.

I've heard it said millions already do not file income tax reports.  Indeed, the system is "voluntary" and the biggest problem is ignorance (criminal negligence) on behalf of all involved (taxman and taxpayer alike) or pure malicious intent.

Otherwise, it is a system of slavery continually perpetuated by victim and abuser.

"The taxpayer: That's someone who works for the federal government but doesn't have to take the civil service examination." - Ronald Reagan

Are you a government employee?
Why can GEICO sell to the "general public"? (Government Employee Insurance COmpany)
[Ok, so that last line may be tenuous.]

Research what the Birth Certificate is :
It creates a corporation in their system and they trick you into identifying yourself as it.
Research what 'consent of the governed' is :
They have power because you give them permission.
Research "tacit consent" :
If you don't object, you must be ok with it.

If truth is obfuscated so greatly, it's because there is something important to hide.

Those spiritually dead must pay the ferryman to cross the River Styx.  And what are you, if your thoughts, feelings and actions do not harmonize?  You are not truly alive and effective!  You are your own worst enemy--in opposition to yourself.  Dead.  At least you might as well be...until you actually harmonize this trinity of consciousness and really make waves in the world!

Do you desire freedom or slavery?

That which is right is based in love and truth and leads to greater freedom.  That which is wrong is based in fear and ignorance and leads to greater slavery.

The state of this union

The world is run by psychopaths.
This is permitted by sociopaths.
The ignorant.
And cowards.
